Jan was killed on August 27, 2007 during an ambush in the Kunar Province of Afghanistan at the age of 26. Jan served in the Pennsylvania National Guard for 10 years, this being his third deployment. Ladder 20 from Wilson Fire Co. in Peckville and Ladder 23 from Eagle Hose Co. in Dickson City proudly honor Sgt. Argonish with an American flag suspended from a Ladder Arch on Hill St. in Jessup PA
