By  |

A veteran motorcycle racer shares experience and attitudes on the art and style of riding at speed with a margin of safety. Byron Black began riding in Japan in 1964, and has raced in the US Grand Prix, the Japan Grand Prix, the Isle of Man Senior TT, the Ulster TT, local road races held on city streets in Colombia, AFM races in California and, after returning to the sport, at Sentul International Circuit in Jakarta, Indonesia, on a Yamaha YZF-R6. He was the Japan Correspondent for CYCLE WORLD Magazine in 1968-1969 and has also written pieces for CYCLE Magazine, Playboy and others. He currently lives in Jakarta with seven monkeys.

Nice to see that you drive defensively. But I don’t see any helmets in the still shots. Isn’t that being risky? I wonder what bikes like those cost, the price of gas, how many MPG
